CIEDS 2026 Operation: the IP Paris ecosystem mobilises for defence innovation

Would you like to explore the key challenges of science and technology for defence and security?

Free registration, but mandatory.

This year, CIEDS is organising a fundraising campaign in support of Bleuet de France.

Operation CIEDS 2026 is organised and led by the CIEDS, the defence centre of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris), in association with the CIMO, the seas and ocean centre of IP Paris.

Take part in this flagship event to:

  • explore current challenges in the maritime and naval domains, CBRN threats, and more broadly defence innovation;
  • discover innovative projects from industrial partners, IP Paris, and the Ministry of the Armed Forces and Veterans, particularly in areas such as ground–air robotics, cyber defence, metal additive repair, and quantum technologies;
  • unlock tomorrow’s opportunities through the richness of intercultural and interdisciplinary exchanges.

The successes of Operation CIEDS 2025

  • 42 partner stands, including around twenty stands from civilian start-ups looking to explore defence-related use cases
  • Two plenary keynotes delivered by a defence operator and a major player in the Defence Technological and Industrial Base (DTIB)
  • Totems presenting the new CIEDS projects
