Research

Reflecting the very wide diversity of technologies present in modern weapon or defence systems, research activities supported by CIEDS involve almost all laboratories and scientific disciplines within the IP Paris research centre. 

 

With the support of the Defence Innovation Agency, CIEDS funds research projects proposed by, and carried out in, the laboratories of the Institut Polytechnique de Paris, on the dual condition that the proposed work is original and that a defence use case for the results is confirmed.

 

The community of researchers and academic staff involved in CIEDS research projects constitutes a significant pool of expertise that can be mobilised for the benefit of the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, defence operators, and industrial partners of the French Defence Technological and Industrial Base (BITD).
