The CIEDS

In a world where new technologies play a predominant role, the Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) created the CIEDS in 2021 to conceive and develop responses to the technological needs of the defence sector. The CIEDS benefits from strong support from the Ministry of the Armed Forces and the Defence Innovation Agency; it operates in the key scientific fields of IP Paris in terms of research, training, and innovation in order to promote broad consideration of issues related to defence.

The CIEDS has two major founding objectives:

• To develop disruptive technologies for defence and security needs
• To establish wide consideration of defence and security issues within IP Paris
