CIEDS Operation 2026: enhancing the security and the safety of telecommunications, a key challenge for cyber defence
The confrontation in cyberspace is now a reality. The volume and intensity of attacks are increasing exponentially, whether aimed at financial gain, data theft, manipulation of public opinion to destabilise institutions, or even the paralysis of private and public systems, civilian or military. A genuine strategic issue, cyber defence is establishing itself as a key pillar of national sovereignty. From this perspective, From this perspective, it is essential to have secure, resilient, and discreet telecommunications—an issue at the heart of research conducted within the Computer Science and Systems Engineering Unit of ENSTA (U2IS). Cyber defence is also one of the major themes of Operation CIEDS 2026.
